The former monastery of St. John the Baptist in Laren
(Eemnesserweg 19) of the brothers of St. Louis of the congregation of Oudenbosch was built in 1913 in 'Um 1800' style. Since 1966 the town hall has been located in the complex. The extension was created in 1983.
