The Baptist admonition in Monnickendam
(Weezenland 1) [3] is a seventeenth-century hall church with a wooden frame. Presumably the building had first wooden walls, which were later rebuilt in stone. The neoclassical façade with framed entrance and pediment dates from around 1840. The interior covered with a wooden barrel vault contains an organ (built by H. Knipscheer) (1869).
