Middelie (Municipality of Zeevang)
Village, originated at the end of the 12th century as peat reclamation in the Polder Zeevang and first mentioned in 1277. This elongated, later somewhat denser, ribbon village got after the Second World War on the south side along the Zijvend only buildings, making the buildings to the hamlet Axwijk extends.
