Lothians (the) - historische naam voor het land ten Z. van de Firth of Forth, Schotland, omvattende de graafschappen Haddington (East L.), Edinburgh (Mid L.) en Linlithgow (West L.). Vroeger droeg al het land tusschen Firth of Forth en de Tweed den naam L.
