Locks in Hoorn
Between the Hoofdtoren and the Baatland there is a lock constructed in 1777 to close the old ports. The lock constructed in 1818 between the Karperkuil and the Vollerswaal (restored 2001-'02) has a steel drawbridge (Grote Oost approx.) From 1926.
