Clarke (Marcus), 1846 — 1881, Eng. journalist en romanschrijver, geb. in Londen, ging naar Australië. Schreef over dwangarbeid in For the Term of his Natural Life (1874); verder schreef hij: Lower Bohemia in Melbourne; The Future Australian Race.
