The raft bridge in 't Zand
Over the Noordhollands Kanaal (Kanaalkade approx.), abutments could be drawn underneath the raft sections. The original wooden raft bridge (1820-'21) was replaced in 1949 by an electrically driven steel pontoon bridge using the same principle.
