Love - (Augustus Edward Hough), Engelsch natuurk., geb. 1863 te Weston-super-Mare, hoogl. te Oxford, bekend door zijn onderzoekingen op mechanisch gebied, speciaal omtrent de elasticiteitstheorie. Hij schreef: A treatment on the mathematical theory of elasticity (Cambridge 1892—93).
