The R.K. St.-Martinus church in Oudeschild

betekenis & definitie

(De Ruyterstraat 129) is a single-nave church with three-sided closed choir, roof rider and a tower of three sections. The plastered nave is from 1835. In 1894 the choir was extended to plans by J.H. Tonnaer and in 1904 the ship got an extra westtravee with built-in tower designed by C.L.M. Robbers. The church, restored in 1935 and 1958, contains an organ from 1912 and a main altar with communion bench (1929, P. Cuypers jr.). The substantial presbytery (De Ruyterstraat 128) dates back to 1890.
