This neo-Gothic church was erected in 1881-83 according to a design by A. Tepe and replaced a 17th-century shelter church that had been rebuilt in 1853. Bells of the bell founders Herman (1478), Johannes van Bremen (1512) and Petit & amp; Fritsen (1867). The baroque pulpit (1738) comes from Antwerp.

F.W. Mengelberg made the main altar and the stations of the crossroads (both circa 1883). The church also contains an organ built by J. Nicholson for the St. Mary Magdalene church in Worcester (GB) (1882, 1981). The cemetery has several large tombs, including that of J.B. Dorbeck († 1867) with marble grave cross on postament.
