The R.K. St. Agatha Church in Zandvoort

betekenis & definitie

(Grote Krocht 45) is a three-aisled basilical church with a five-sided closed choir, three-aisled portal and a slender tower placed aside. This church arose in 1927-'28 to a sober business expressionist design by P. Cuypers jr. With striking rectangular windows with art sandstone styles. From the inventory date the communion bank and pulpit date from the construction period.

The 'De Krocht' association building (Grote Krocht 41) is the old church, which had been replaced in 1928 and was extensively renovated in 1929, a hall building from 1853 to H.H. Dansdorp (extended 1902, C.L.M. Robbers).
