The (Old-Kath.) Engelmundus Church in IJmuiden

betekenis & definitie

(Wilhelminakade 119), a three-aisled church with west side and tower, was built in 1907 to a rationalistic design by J.G. Copper. The nave is covered by a wooden barrel vault with belt arches. This church replaced the Old-Kath. church Breesaapstraat 52 from 1890, which in 1919 to plans by J.C. Cramer was converted into theater and cinema hall 'Thalia'.
