The Herv church in Oudkarspel

betekenis & definitie

(Dorpsstraat 878) is a three-aisled pseudobasilical church with a five-sided closed choir and a tower without a spire. The almost unadorned tower is in the core 13th century. The ship was probably established in the 14th century and the choir around 1500. During a major renovation in 1868 the ship was plastered. The church completely burned down in 1969 was then rebuilt soberly (J.A. Peters).
