The Herv church in Oudeschild

betekenis & definitie

(Trompstraat 60) is a hall church with support floors, wooden gable tower and construction. This church from 1650 was given a cross-piece on a north side in 1740 and a block plastering was completed in 1878 when it was rebuilt. The façade tower, which was renovated in 1903 after lightning, contains a clock (1719) by Jan Albert de Grave. The church was restored in 1963-'65. The inventory includes a pulpit (second half of the 17th century), a decreed bidder (1651, restored 1792) and a mourning board (1758). The copper crowns (1677 and 1678) were donated by Michiel Adriaansz de Ruyter and Cornelis Tromp.
