At the end of the 19th century, some existing buildings were given storefronts with eclectic details, such as Cattenhagestraat 14 and Marktstraat 21 and 38. Colorful brickwork has the small shop Peperstraat 12 (circa 1905). The retail building Kloosterstraat 20 (circa 1905) has plastered tires. The sober facade of Marktstraat 5 dates from around 1920 (house 1785). A remarkably parabolic shaped closed window in expressionist style has the forem. drapery warehouse Kloosterstraat 16 from Henselijn & amp; Zn. (1933).
