From the late 19th century, various residential and retail buildings date to eclectic forms, such as the forem. bakery Kanaalstraat 48 (1877), the Kanaalstraat 52 (1878) and 64 (1877) buildings and the forem. bakery Kanaalstraat 62 (1891). The latter building has a beautiful neo-Renaissance facade.
