The form. village school with attached teacher's house (Bonkenburg 2-4) dates from 1837 and got a second classroom in 1847. In 1873 a new six-grade public primary school (Hogeweg 8) with a gymnasium was built.
This building with gesausde facades now serves as an office and library. The R.K. lower St.-Jozefschool (Langebuurt 35) was built in 1912 as a four-class school. The attached kindergarten was replaced in 1921 (tile tableau) by a two-tier school building (converted into apartments in 2004). Around 1935 the R.K. lower Mariaschool for girls, a two-tier school building with eight classrooms.
