Residential homes in Velsen

betekenis & definitie

A seventeenth-century origin has the stepped house Torenstraat 4.

Examples of 18th-century houses with spout façade and top pilaster are Hoofdbuurtstraat 5 and Middendorpstraat 1. Most other 18th century buildings have a simple (plastered) spout, such as Hoofdbuurtstraat 3 and 8, Middendorpstraat 3 and Torenstraat 14 with adjacent the low house Middendorpstraat 10 The two-storey house Zuiderdorpstraat 4, which was relocated with the canal extension, is also equipped with spout gables. The later white-plastered building Meervlietstraat 34, with three-sided facade of the first half of the 18th century, has been the home of architect Jacob Gaykema. In the bay there is a chimney with Louis XV stucco and there is also a timber with a representation of carpentry tools. Around 1735 are built Torenstraat 11 (plastered) and the adjacent building Torenstraat

17. The neoclassical mansion Meervlietstraat 58 arose in 1821.

Chalet style details got the villas Kerkesingel 1 (1888) and Meervlietstraat 71 (circa 1905).
