betekenis & definitie

The oldest building is located on the Kerkstraat and often houses plastered - deep houses. The 17th century buildings Kerkstraat 22 and 26 have spout gables with a top pilaster. From the 18th century, Kerkstraat 2 and 28, Voorstraat 11 (truncated list façade) and Voorstraat 13 (ornamental anchors) line. The Brugstraat 1 and Voorstraat 5 houses are covered by one continuous saddle roof; the latter building has a gable and on the corner a shop entrance (circa 1905).

Other 18th-century houses are Juliana-Bernhardplein 1, Kuyerspad 2 (mid-19th century neo-Gothic door) and the double-front street 24-25. The two-storey mansion Voorstraat 4 has a framed entrance in Louis XV style (circa 1750). Late 18th century is the wide building Voorstraat 14-17, which has two doors in a classic style (Louis XVI style). The doctor's house De Uitvlucht (Voorstraat 33) dates from around 1885. Simple neo-Renaissance details show the house Kerkstraat 20 (circa 1910) with mansard roof. Villa Dammerweg 115 (1939) has a parabolic roof.
