The Stichts-Ankeveensepolder east of the village was drained by the mill Ankeveensepad 9, a reed-covered octagonal inner barrel, built around 1636. South of the village is the mill Gabriël (Gabriëlweg approx.). This octagonal interior swamp, covered with reeds, was built in 1635. The mill was converted into a home in 1957.
