From the form. pumping station Molenkade 31 south of Kolhorn only the machine house remains (circa 1900). It dates from 1908. pumping station Kaag (Hemmerweg 5) west of Kolhorn. The Schagerkogge pumping station (Westfriesdijk 68) was built in 1927 with an upper dwelling. This pumping station has two horizontal electric screw pumps (Pannevis). In the canal Alkmaar-Kolhorn lies the modern pumping station De Waakzaamheid (Westfriesedijk 18a, circa 1960) with a lock (Braaksluis).
