Farms in Nieuw-Vennep

betekenis & definitie

Shortly after the reclamation, the longhouse farm Reintjeshoeve (Rijnlanderweg 1489, 1856) with serliana window in the gable top. A villa-like neo-Renaissance residence has the farm Venneperweg 1069 (circa 1895).

Interesting farmhouses, with raised middle section are Graswijk (Rijnlanderweg 1144, 1861), the Margaretha Hoeve (Hoofdweg-Westzijde 1325-1327, 1862, with gazebo) and the wooden-fronted farm Hoofdweg-Westzijde 983-985 (circa 1895). Characteristic are the farms with a higher and wider barn (side entrance) behind the house, such as Weltevreden (Rijnlanderweg 1185, circa 1900, with sierspant) and Rijnlanderweg 1261-1263 (circa 1900). Younger examples are the farms Hoop and Vlijt-De Landman (Rijnlanderweg 1663: 1906), Nooitgedacht (Hoofdweg-Oostzijde 1162, 1915) and Kleine Vennep (Hoofdweg-Westzijde 1041, circa 1928). A large detached barn has the farm Vredenburgh (Rijnlanderweg 1396, circa 1930).
