Farms in Nederhorst den Berg

betekenis & definitie

Along the Vecht there are some thatched with stipe house farms with a cellar and upstairs room; 17th-century Eilandseweg 11 and 16a, both with left a built-out basement and upstairs, and eighteenth-century Hinderdam 5 and Hinderdam 15 (now without barn part). The originally eighteenth-century Vechthoeve (Eilandseweg 18) in 1914 got a new cross-placed front house. Dating from around 1850, the cross-country farm 't Hemeltje (Vreelandseweg 78), which is covered with cane, dates back to that time. A design by Th.E.B. Honders is the cross-house farm Reeweg 5, built in 1912. From 1921, the longhouse farm dates Eilandseweg 17.
