Farms in Naarden

betekenis & definitie

Well-preserved city farms are the hallhouse farm Gansoordstraat 31 (17th century) and the plastered farm St. Vitusstraat 49. The 18th-century farm St.-Annastraat 20 is also largely plastered and has a basement room behind the left front room. Behind the house is a stone barn.

On the southwest side of Naarden you will find the 17th century, thatched cross-country farmhouse Ridderhoeve (Naardermeer 13), formerly called 'Meerlust'. The longhouse farm Naardermeer 5, built around 1880, is made of wood because of its location within the Forbidden Circles. From the same time and of the same type is the farm on the east side of the fortress Meentweg 2-4 with cut wind springs.
